You wheel set comes built ready to ride.

The PR38 wheels come complete with tyres to ensure that the tensions and dish of the wheels have been checked by the team before installation.

Due to the high performance nature of this wheel set and the fact that final QC is best performed with tyres fitted these wheels now come with Schwalbe Pro Ones fitted as standard.

With a 21mm internal rim width, this all-new wheelset maximises the tyre profile with the widest clincher profile rim brakes can take.

Why 38mm?

38mm deep offers a fast aero wheel that's not heavily affected by crosswinds also a little lighter than the 50mm for climbing.

How much do the wheels weigh?

We know how people buy wheels and the weight is always a consideration due to the impact on bike performance.
The PR38 wheelset weighs in at 1380g +/- 15g

Is there a weight limit?

As with all Pacenti hand built wheels there is no upper weight limit. If you are a larger rider, then just drop us a line and discuss your concerns and riding style.

What's included?

Tubeless-ready rim bed, the rim bed profile is designed for tubeless compatibility. Like all tubeless rims, it can also be used with inner tubes.

The wheelset is supplied with Sram/Shimano compatible brake pads, tubeless conversion requires a tubeless tape and valve kit.

What tyre for the PR38?

Tyre widths have changed in recent years and the trend has been to move upwards in terms of width.

The PR38 really comes in to it's own with 25mm or 28mm tyre widths however they can be used with both 23mm or 30mm. In terms of tyre pressures this is all about personal feel, some like it soft, some like it hard. We never recommend a tyre pressure simply because of that personal choice. We always recommend being mindful of manufacturers suggested pressures.
